People love a good story, a truth that has held since the dawn of human history. All day you will see stories on the television from all over the world. People watch the television every day to catch up on what’s going on in their favorite TV shows or to watch the news. If you have a news blog then you can get readers coming to view your own stories every day in pretty much the same way.
It’s not that difficult to find the latest news in any niche as you can do your own search for it online, or you can just set up Google Alerts and then have all the latest news sent to your inbox. Once you have a system for getting the latest news in your niche it shouldn’t be too difficult to write about the things that will bring more visitors to your blog. For your article or blog post, take the various points of view on the topic and write about each of them. All you have to do is set the scenario explaining the issue, then take turns writing about what each source said about it. Interject your own comments, views, opinions, etc so that you keep the debate going. If your writing has a different perspective on what has happened then this creates even more interest, and that can create a great discussion about what you have written.
Most content on the net, blog posts, articles, etc, seem to be formatted in an expository manner and meant only to feed the reader some information. Value comes across in many forms and sometimes keeping things simple works. However, break things up a bit and once in a while give people useful background information. Your overall task is to make your point in an interesting way, but that shouldn’t stop you going into the origins of the story. If your readers are used to the way you write then it will come across to them in a way they will understand. That little bit of historical storytelling will also serve to draw the reader in your content.
If you have anything in your own life that your readers will benefit from hearing then you should add these stories to your blog. You can ask your readers to talk about their own experiences on that particular subject to keep start of the conversation and then they start to feel like part of your blog. You’ll create even more interaction on your blog if you reply to any questions people ask, and then this encourages more comments and more questions.
